1. Acceptance of Terms
By scheduling a session with Surprise Hypnotherapy, contacting us by phone, text, or through this website, or by attending a session with Robyn Oler, C.Ht., you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not book a session.
These terms apply to all clients, prospective clients, and anyone using this website.
2. Services Provided
Surprise Hypnotherapy offers one-on-one clinical hypnotherapy sessions with Robyn Oler, a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist trained through the Certified Hypnotherapy Training School (2022). Services include sessions focused on anxiety, weight management, fears and phobias, and related personal goals.
Clinical hypnotherapy is a complementary wellness approach. It is not psychotherapy, licensed mental health treatment, or medical care. Robyn Oler is not a licensed mental health professional, physician, or registered dietitian.
3. Payment Policy
Payment is due prior to each session. Sessions are not confirmed until payment is received. The standard session rate is $150 per individual session.
All payments are made directly to Surprise Hypnotherapy. Please contact Robyn by phone or text at (623) 810-9879 to confirm accepted payment methods at the time of scheduling. Payment methods may include cash, check, credit or debit card, and other methods as communicated by the practice.
Rates are subject to change. Any rate changes will be communicated to existing clients before they take effect.
4. Insurance
Surprise Hypnotherapy does not accept, bill, or process any insurance claims. All sessions are private-pay only. Robyn Oler is not a participating provider with any insurance network, Medicare, or Medicaid.
Surprise Hypnotherapy will not submit claims, superbills, or any documentation to any insurance carrier on your behalf. Clients are responsible for the full session fee regardless of their insurance coverage.
Some clients choose to apply Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) funds toward the cost of sessions. Eligibility is determined by your plan administrator. Surprise Hypnotherapy does not guarantee HSA or FSA eligibility, and clients should verify coverage with their plan before scheduling.
5. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
At least 24 hours advance notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice are subject to the full session fee of $150. Missed appointments (no-shows) are subject to the full session fee.
To cancel or reschedule, contact Robyn directly by phone or text at (623) 810-9879 as early as possible. Leaving a voicemail is acceptable as long as it is received at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.
Surprise Hypnotherapy understands that genuine emergencies occur. In exceptional circumstances, fees may be waived at Robyn's sole discretion. This is an exception, not a policy.
Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in a requirement for advance payment to secure future appointments, or in the termination of the client relationship.
6. Refund Policy
Sessions are non-refundable once the session has taken place. If a client cancels with at least 24 hours notice and has already paid, a full refund or credit toward a future session will be issued.
Surprise Hypnotherapy does not offer refunds for completed sessions under any circumstances, including if you are unsatisfied with the outcome. Hypnotherapy results vary by individual and depend on many factors, including client engagement and participation. No specific outcome is guaranteed.
If a session is cancelled by Surprise Hypnotherapy, a full refund of any amount paid for that session will be issued or the session will be rescheduled at your preference.
7. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks
Surprise Hypnotherapy is committed to resolving billing concerns directly. If you believe there has been a billing error or have a concern about a charge, please contact us at (623) 810-9879 before initiating any dispute with your bank or card issuer. Most concerns can be resolved quickly through direct communication.
Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute for a session that was attended and rendered constitutes a breach of these Terms of Service. Surprise Hypnotherapy reserves the right to respond to any such dispute with documentation of services rendered, including session records and communications, and to pursue recovery of disputed amounts through all available legal means.
Clients who initiate fraudulent disputes may be permanently declined for future services. Any costs incurred by Surprise Hypnotherapy in responding to or recovering from a fraudulent dispute, including legal and collection fees, may be charged to the client.
8. Minor Clients
There is no minimum age requirement for hypnotherapy at Surprise Hypnotherapy. However, clients under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present for all sessions. The parent or guardian is responsible for all scheduling, payments, and signing of any intake or consent documentation.
By scheduling a session for a minor, the parent or guardian represents that they have legal authority to consent to wellness services on behalf of the minor and agrees to these Terms of Service on the minor's behalf.
9. Health and Medical Disclaimer
Clinical hypnotherapy is a complementary wellness approach and is not a substitute for licensed mental health treatment, psychotherapy, psychiatric care, or medical care. Sessions with Surprise Hypnotherapy are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or psychological condition.
If you are currently under the care of a physician, licensed therapist, psychiatrist, or other healthcare provider, you should inform that provider before beginning hypnotherapy. If Robyn determines that a written letter of consent from your current provider is appropriate, she will communicate that requirement before scheduling your first session.
Results vary by individual. No specific outcomes are guaranteed. Testimonials, case examples, or results described on this website reflect individual experiences and are not representative of every client's results.

10. Client Intake and Consent
Prior to or at the beginning of your first session, you will be asked to complete a client intake form and sign a consent agreement. This document covers your goals, health history, session expectations, and acknowledgment of the nature of hypnotherapy. No client relationship exists until the intake process is complete.
Information shared in your intake form is kept confidential and used only for session preparation and documentation purposes consistent with our Privacy Policy.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Arizona law, Surprise Hypnotherapy and Robyn Oler shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services or this website, including any dissatisfaction with session outcomes.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific session giving rise to the claim.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Maricopa County, Arizona, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
13. Changes to These Terms
Surprise Hypnotherapy may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
